Our Capabilities

From Raw Ingredient to Finished Product

With nearly four decades of chocolate-making expertise, our Carrum Downs facility handles everything from R&D and product development through to final packing. We manufacture to your specifications using 100% Australian-made base chocolate in a HACCP-approved environment.

Enrobing

High-capacity chocolate enrobing in milk or dark chocolate with a tempered finish. Capacity runs into tonnes per day depending on product size and shape.

Panning

Chocolate coating for smaller pieces (0.1g), from choffies upward, with high-speed panning capacity available, and a capacity of 10 tonnes per month.

Moulding & Depositing

Using polycarbonate and injection moulds across bar lines, Easter eggs, Novelties, Animals, Christmas shapes, and custom formats.

R&D & Product Development

Trialling and developing new products before committing to a full production run. We'll work with you from concept through to market-ready samples.

Full Supply or Value-Add

We can manufacture from base ingredients through to final packed product, or you supply the chocolate and/or ingredients and we handle the value-add processing.

Packing & Fulfilment

Product delivered in pilfer proof and sealed packaging that is retail-ready, and can be branded to your specifications.

Our freeze-dried fruit range is something we’re particularly proud of. We source whole Australian-grown strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, not pieces or crumb, directly from Australian growers with no middlemen involved.

Every piece is coated in your choice of milk, dark, or white chocolate. The product is entirely Australian in content, grown in untainted soils, and meets Australian food standards across the board. All products are gluten-free and nut-free (traces only).

Chocolate Grove was the first Australian chocolate manufacturer accredited by the Coeliac Association, and we’ve championed gluten-free production for nearly 20 years.

Our compliant range covers all nuts, all dried and freeze-dried fruits, select confectionery lines (including honeycomb), and all base chocolate products. Every product is routinely tested for gluten-free compliance, and we conduct annual reviews of all supplier ingredients.

We treat gluten as a critical allergen and are actively developing pectin-based confectionery lines as a genuine alternative to wheat-based products, giving Coeliacs real options where they’ve traditionally been severely limited.
